Ways To Monetize Your Telegram Channel
Do you have a Telegram Channel? If you do, you probably want to use it to earn money. Unsure how to do it? No worries we got you covered.
Hello, I’m Jay also known as JayBee on telegram. I have been making telegram bots since 2021. As a telegram channel owner, I will be sharing my experience regarding this advertising in channels.
There are a couple of ways you can earn if you have a telegram channel.
- Advertising with an advertising network
- Advertising directly with an advertiser
- Promoting affiliate links
- Posting “paid post” using Donate bot
- Charging members (recurring) for membership in a private chat.
1. Advertising with an advertising network
If you’re reading this article, you might have already come across many advertising networks such as Adsly, Collaborator, and Channel Buzz Bot. There are more of them. But I will share the ones I’ve personally used.
- Adsly.me: It is doing great in recent times. Well structured and maintain. The support is also very good. To get the approval there are some rules:
- Channel has to be more than 3 months old.
- Channel must have more than 5000 subscribers.
- It’s not written in the rules but your channel must have a decent amount of posts (I got rejected when I applied with 3 posts but got accepted after posting 5+ posts)
Pros of Adsly:
- You can set any Click Price (CPC) you want. (But it should not be impractical). Unlike other ad networks, you get to decide your CPC. So, you’ll always get fairly paid.
- When an advertiser requests ad placement, you get to choose whether to post it or reject it. You get 24 hours to decide.
- They have decent support, quick and understanding.
- Minimum withdrawal: $10 (Payeer), which gets processed within a day or two.
Cons of Adsly:
- As it is a relatively new company, the number of ads is limited. You don’t get a lot of ads.
- Payout methods available are Payeer, USDT, and BUSD. They should consider adding Paypal or Payoneer. Or at least decrease the minimum withdrawal threshold for crypto (It’s $50 as of 19 May 2023)
Also, they have different algorithms, so try not to do anything against the rules. You’ll get banned if you do.
- Collaborator: I have seen people make a lot of money off this site. But I haven’t made much. In the past 1 year or so, I only got one ad. The site is in the Russian language. There is no one to moderate if you (as the channel owner) posted an ad. The advertiser gets to decide whether you have posted or not.
- Channel Buzz Bot: It is not a website, but rather a telegram bot. The functionalities of this bot are fairly simple. You apply for it, get approval and start making money. The bot has a feature where it set a per-hour budget based on your channel members and category. You can also customize the budget. I did make a decent amount of money from this bot.
Note: There is only one payout method, which is the TRON coin.
2. Advertising directly with an advertiser
This is perhaps the best way to make money since you don’t have to pay any commission to third parties. But the question arises, how will you get advertisers? I you have a decent audience and you’re providing decent service advertisers will come across your channel and they would want to advertise on the channel.
So, make sure you provide and telegram username of yours for the advertisers to contact you. You can a make post regarding this and pin it as well. I followed this strategy and it’s working for me.
3. Promoting affiliate links
You can promote products or services through affiliate links from Amazon, Clickbank, and WarriorPlus and make some easy bucks.
4. Posting “paid post” using Donate bot
Telegram allows you to create paid posts using Donate bot (a bot from Telegram itself). Users will have to pay a certain amount to view the post. You can use this feature if you have access to some exclusive service.
5. Charging members (recurring) for membership in a private chat
This is similar to the previous one. The only difference is you’ll monetize a Private chat instead of a post. And this is recurring. This means if users want to get access to your private chat they will have to pay a weekly/monthly/annual fee.
